woke up to stanley's blade XP looks like ppL are in the high tech big bucks droppin mood...je with vipod, stanley with razor, jonlai with laptop. i decided to take one of my christmas gifts and exchange it for a buttonup shirt. and since i have alot of old clothes that i don't wear anymore, i decided to take it all out to donate. it's weird cuz i'm a huge tshirt guy, and it's tough parting with shirts that carry sentimental value. ah well we can't horde everything. oh yea, to continue my movie per day for the week i watched rounders. it's funny how this film and poolhall junkies make you wanna play cards and shoot pool right after the movie.

after dinner, je and jerm came over. they were in my brother's room the whole time. i have no idea what it is they do. three dudes on laptops doing separate things. my stomach has been hurting all day, so i decided to rest. i woke up at 1230 and thus begins the first hour of the last day of this year...

playing ball today was my first step towards getting back in shape. but i still gotta figure out a way to play or do something active every day. the belly stops now! actually today wasn't that much of a workout. i spent most of the time laughing.

afterwards, i had wings for dinner. mario is not nice. i expected the momentary numbness but at least have some flavor =P bbq was good though...can't go wrong with that.

then it was mahjong at my house. joe may seem like he doesn't know what he's doing, but he wins alot. after everyone left, i watched yet another movie. oh yea, yesterday i watched sky high. i gotta admit it was a fun movie to watch. and today, i watched boondock saints. this movie was just kool. irish vigilantes running around shooting ppL...it was tight. accents and guns rock!

sorry, no pics again...camera's broke ><

today --
:: cnd - shoe shopping was kinda fun, and i did not receive any "piece of mind". although, i did get a ginormous chunk of gum in my mouth. but of course, the best part was spending time together. i'm thankful for the fact that we can still do that without weirdness. it's like the doors never closed, and that's amazing to me. i believe when we're faithful God uses us. i definitely feel blessed today because she taught and reminded me of some importants things. and that wouldn't have been possible had she not been walking closely with God. hmm...thailand in november eh? =]
:: michelangelo's - this place may be known for its exquisite setting and fine dining, but to me it's completely different. it's the place where certain friends and family come together....and not that often, so that adds value. we learned tonight that carol will eat anything that tastes like grass. the vinegar sauce that comes with the mushroom appetizer is good with bread. cooking sugar makes it turn brown, and it looks like you're messin with crack on a spoon. finally, the jokes for carol and lulu (sp?) are endless. oh dear, he hope he never reaches this website =P

chooseday --
:: fma - i like the graphics. it's easy on the eyes. actually i like the fact that it doesn't completely follow the original story because then it'd be too predictable. gigantic bowling balls running over you was hilarious.
:: memoirs of a geisha - if you enjoy culture like i do, then i recommend it. the longevity didn't bother me at all cuz i was busy checkin out the wardrobe and set design. i was surprised and actually glad that they told a good part of the story starting from childhood. the actress who played the young sayuri did a good job. she looks familiar. maybe joy luck club?
:: dukes of hazzard - ok i watched this cuz when i was young, i was in love with this show. i even had the toys. i think internally this show may have contributed to me not having a racist mentality. a chinese kid watching the good ol' boys. there was alot of unnecessary "stuff" in the movie, but overall it captured the tv show.

monday --
:: football - battle scars are great. the pain is trivial compared to the goal (*personal app to life)
:: taco bell - rayK: hey anson, so are you rich? anson: no...[minutes later]....i have a maid and chauffeur. also, my house is like two houses connected together.
:: king kong - first hour with no ape, but i think it was done on purpose to build hype. the violent stuff was great. it took jurassic park to a whole 'nother lvl.

sunday --
:: christmas service - frank had an "interesting" presentation for the kids. it was good seeing old faces.
:: bball - for the first time, i felt a lack of speed. it's time to shape up.
:: jade garden with fam - food was filling. wrap? no, it's a vegetable wrap. we saw john, his fam, and janet there.

friday. december 23 2oo5
if you read thursday's post, then this is a continuation of "lights out"...

we sit in the dark doing stuff from covering joyce with napkins while sleeping to talking about the evolution of communication (i.e. aim). lemme see if i can remember...joyce was beginning to wake up. melody attempted to sleep but couldn't cuz it was cold and probably cuz of the talking. jonathan passed out and woek up in a drunken state. alvin should be a ninja for being awake and quiet for so long. and well, jason and i can carry on a conversation for ages. when you reach a certain hour, as a group you must decide what to do. stay or go? usually you're way too tired to leave, so you must find a reason to stay. so we set our eyes (err...our stomachs) on soliz. all we had to do was endure till 7am. i vaguely remember entering a silly stage when i jumped behind a couch when mrs. kuo came out. next thing you know, like melody's mom, she was offering us breakfast. man we totally abuse the term "overstaying your welcome". thankfully, we have friends with gracious and generous parents. God bless em.

as 700 rolled around, we made our way out the door, and it was FREEZING!!! well i'm a bumbling idiot for wearing shorts, but that's beside the point. oh yea, there was a strange incident with jonathan's bumper. the night before, he dented his back bumper. but i think due to the drastic temperature change the bumper popped back into its normal position in the morning. that was definitely a blessing cuz it would've been expensive to fix that. ok so off to soliz we went. nash and darlene for me. even now as i post this, i want more *drool* i think maybe i'm a 300-lb man trapped in a 160 body. after satisfying our tummies, it was time to go home and crash. on the way back, i think i finally hit my drunken state. i started talking in every accent possible.

5hrs later, jasonM comes over to borrow my itrip. i wake up and decide to shoot around on my driveway. i think the lack of bball has finally gotten to me. it feels weird when i don't play.

after ppL got enough rest, we went to the mall to attempt to shop again. shortly after, we met up with joyce to watch elf at town square. once again, i've only caught pieces of the movie. after wetting my pants (the grass was wet), we walked to another great mexican place, chipotle! free coupons rock, so you know i had to pack that thing with all the extra stuff. *drool again*

then we walked back to the square to take pictures. i think it's interesting how something as simple as a digital camera can entertain us for soooooo long. we blew up that camera. from giant gift boxes to giant santa to high-fiving the horse to saluting the drummers to looking-up headshots to jumping =]....it was great. since we all lacked in the sleep department, we decided to go home. i instantly crashed as soon as i saw my bed. and now it's 330am and i'm awake again >< oh what will the future hold next?

thursday. december 22 2oo5
this day began with the number fifteen hundred. i was fairly happy since income's been kinda slow with break and all. now i just gotta remember to stay on top of things, so i can keep the account. hahaha that was pretty vague huh?

anywayz, i went out with jonathan and melody in the afternoon to do alittle shopping. i had NO idea that it would turn out the way it did. we made our first stop at JA. i believe we were #83. when we walked in, it was only on the 50's, so we had extra time to search for joyce's gift. popsicle to two peas in a pod to heart key. i think the duck and dove was also proposed. it was funny just because we had an "interesting" way of narrowing it down. even the lady helping us started cracking up. afterwards, melody generously treated us to marble slab. those waffle bowls are pretty good actually.

then it was off to find mad gab. we went from kohls to target and couldn't find it, so we sorta gave up cuz we had to bring melody to sc club to meet up with her parents for dinner. outta nowhere, her dad invites us to eat with them =O and who am i to turn down such a nice meal? =P i had the crab cake appetizer and french onion soup (tried to pick cheap stuff). during dinner, we come up with the clever idea of surprising joyce at her house for her bday. as if the evening hadn't already become the randomest thing in the world, it just got randomer. we scheduled ppL to meet us outside the house at 915pm. after dinner, we decide to check wal-mart to see if mad gab could possibly be there. we ended up getting cranium. how can you NOT like cranium, right? we need to make up new cards for that thing...we remembered too many answers ><

we all gathered outside her house around 930pm like we were drug dealers or something. finally we went in and surprised her. i think it was totally unexpected for her. i mean it was totally unexpected to us earlier that afternoon >< we had cake, pizza, hot chocolate, sierra mist...oh wait, greg made his own unique mix. that boy poured the hot cocoa mix into his mouth. to turn the powder into a drink, he poured sierra mist into his mouth!!! naaasty! aussie's are great =] then of course we played cranium. i've never had a bad or boring experience with that game. i guess it's because i don't let myself become too competitive. i'll save that ugliness for bball. and plus, it was hard to be too serious when joyce's cousin alice was always giggling. kids are great. i find it amazing how one minute they can be really shy and run away at the mere sight of you. and the next minute, they could be bashing you on the head with a pillow. it was tough trying to play two things at once. i was torn. i was trying to concentrate on cranium really hard, but alice kept thinking of new games to play with me. it went from mazes to tic-tac-toe to a speed-drawing contest to pillow fighting. sorry guyz for losing focus on cranium...imma sucker for kiddos =P

after a few ppL left, joyce put alice to bed, and we popped in war of the worlds. oh yea, thanx joyce and eric for being such good hosts with teh buffalo wings and stuff. ok so about wotw, i think they could've elaborated more on the ending. actually, the book doesn't end it well, but i think the film was made really well. spielberg and lucas need to get together and make the ultimate sci-fi movie. dakota is the future of hollywood. i hope she stays grounded and continues to grow as an actress. ok so you must be wondering what time it is by now? let's refer to this unknown time period as the "lights out" portion of the evening cuz we were sitting in the dark. time flies when you just sit and around talk. since this crosses over to the next day, i'll continue this post on the friday post =] (refer to above post)

wednesday. december 21 2oo5
alright my memory is disappearing very quickly, so i gotta post before i forget. yesterday...

-- few eps of champloo. i find myself being more of a mugen-type due to the reckless, random decision-making. he also seems to have that shikamaru attitude goin on.
-- took england to squeak. then took one to key. and the other a la maison.
-- ordered a barbocoa burrito w/ tomatillo-red chili, rice, beans, and sour cream at chipotle *drool*
oh yea, i found a blackberry handheld device sitting on the rail while standing in line. i looked around to see if anyone claimed it. since no one did, i figured i'd pick it up and give it to a manager. so i ordered my food, paid for it, sat down, and totally forgot that i had it. then i noticed a guy walking around as if he were searching for something. so i asked him if he was looking for anything in particular. and sure enough, he was looking for the blackberry. after i gave it back to him, he said thanks and walked away. little did i know that he was actually the manager, and he gave me a free burrito coupon =] *double drool*
-- right after dinner, i headed over the amc to watch pride&prej with jason, melody, and jonathan. i like watching movies with british accents. everything is so much wittier. there's also a scene with elizabeth and her father that i liked alot because i hope to one day share that joy. keira knightley...currently the best brit actress of this time period. donald sutherland...awesome performance in that scene.
-- after the movie, i headed over to grace's to play mafia, eat junkfood, and play with meeko. john's smart as always. conrad's a goof for making silly faces. grace survived without a heart attack. and tiffany's best trait is her ability to be quiet. that's dangeresque!

alright i'll do a short post about today, or else i'll keep back-logging. i ate dinner with family at luby's. it was nice cuz i got to make up for thanksgiving dinner. afterwards, i needed to go home and pikc something up before heading to nicolas' house. nicolas turned out to be a pretty good driver, especially since it was dark and he rarely drives. anywayz, we got to the house and opened presents. it's fun watching amanda and christopher smile. amanda always has this face of approval/disapproval after opening a gift. we have to ask her afterwards whether or not the gift was good. but for christopher, it's completely opposite. when he opens a gift and isn't sure what it is, he looks around all confused and asks ppL if it's a good gift.

poor girl had sleepy eyes cuz she took medicine and kept rubbing her eyes.

once he saw this toy, he forgot everything else he got.

nothing but text. enjoy.

yesterday was long. i went an entire 24hrs without sleeping or napping. on top of that, my day began at 4am. i got up to work on a client's website. i figured since i couldn't fall back asleep, i might as well do something productive.

when 1030 came around, i went to church. ped gave his presentation about mosaic. it made me think of fbcc when it first started out and how far it's come. after that, i grabbed a bite at sonic...then headed back for a baptism. wow i didn't realize how many of yall were getting baptized. it was quite teh comic relief with ped. amy cho is great. congratulations to all of you! after the baptism, a few of us decided to play cranium. my brain's kinda fried, so i don't remember much...except that it was hilarious. oh yea i think we picked on the squirrel too much =P oh right, i vaguely remember yelling "narnia!" alot whenever ppL talk about inappropriate things. yea don't ask. i make no sense.

afterwards, we went to welfarm to buy stuff and then ate at taco cabana for dinner. i remember there being alot of talking which was koo...but again brain = fried. shortly after, we headed to blockbuster to rent Singin in the Rain. we ended up going up and down each aisle checking out practically every genre. that's what happens when you go with a bunch of movie buffs.

we watched the movie at melody's house. watching old flicks is nice cuz you realize how much more talent was required for musicals back then. nowadays, anyone can become an actor just based on looks or knowing the right ppL. song of the day: Good Mornin.

after the movie, we fantasized about taking a trip to san marcos. we ended up sitting around and just talking. to say the word "just" is a huge understatement. we also ended up eating some mysterous brown crystals sitting in a jar. we ate some dried mango and all billion oranges. joyce wnated me to try the mango just so we could go to the emergency room. hmm what else? oh right, i am the ultimate fumigator (sp?) melody opened a big dictionary and started a game where she reads a random word, and we gotta guess the definition. quickly after, we switch to true colors? that was fun. i learned that by popular vote i will spoil and beat my kids at the same time. i better start saving up now for that shrink. before playing this game, i think we "attempted" to play bible pictionary. we opened the box and found silverfish in it....awesome! but that struck no fear in anyone. then a tiny spider came along, and melody flipped out. ppL started to doze off, so we started doing crossword puzzles in newspapers. hmm i remember katherine waking up. then i passed out. then i remember katherine coming home. awesome! then as i was still doing the crossword, we ate lunch...which consisted of donuts (thanx mrs. chien!), ramen (thanx katherine!), chicken, some shrimp fondu bread bowl thing, and apple juice. after rewatching Good Mornin over and over a few times, i finally set out into the sun. their house is so warm and homey that it makes you forget the world is moving outside.

anywayz, i arrived late for tutoring (sorry amanda!) surprisingly enough, i was still able to make up alot of problems. with half a functioning brain, i went home afterwards and showered. before i knew it, it was dinnertime. after dinner, i FINALLY crashed for only ONE HOUR!!! well i had to get up and head to my uncle's to discuss the website layout. after that, i went home and watched 2eps of samurai champloo. i'm kinda sad that this series ends. i like the idea of yin and yang samurais. the animation, aside from the music and transitions, has bold graffiti undertones. it's like hip hop meets samurai blades.

ok so the fact that i'm still sitting here all awake and stuff is medically problematic. i think the demons i deal with keep me awake. oh sorry, didn't mean to scare the kiddos off with that word. what i mean is my mind is constantly thinking about stuff which keeps me awake. before, i thought it was my jacked up sleeping schedule. but as you can see, there wasn't much sleeping going on here. my brain will not rest till it has been fulfilled with an answer. ok you get a star for reading this far cuz even i wouldn't have read someone's blog if it was this long and filled only with text.

congratulations to stanley for graduating from college today!

my camera finally broke broke. ^ that was one of the last pics taken by my camera =\ now i gotta look into warranty or fork up big money to get another one. kinda sucks cuz i just recently got the zoom to work again.

anywayz...after the graduation, we all went to eat sushi at kirin. wasabi makes rachel cry and makes stanley look like he has a headache.
most memorable moment:
*stanley stands up to go to the restroom*
*melody rubs her eye*
*melody appears to be crying*
melody: are you really gonna go poo?

hahah...yea it was one of those things where you just had to be there.

since jon had been talking about lebrons the whole time, we decided to go to sharpstown to check em out. at the same time, my brother was looking for something casual. at first, he considered am90's and dunks. but of all shoes to end up liking, he begins a new shift in taste with the air force ones. every time i referred to those shoes, i called them "forces", and melody would not stop giggling. then she kept making endless star wars remarks like..."may the forces be with you". rachel had a good one too, but i forgot it =P oh also earlier at kirin, melody heard us cantons say "hok-yun", and she thought we said "hot and young". so that became the phrase of the day. now we can use it on a regular basis.

after the mall, we dropped off rachel and realized how scared stanley was of dogs. and daaaang husky is HUGE!!! quite the fat boy. after dropping everyone off, i ended up joining the guys in the cold weather to play baseball. it's alot more fun playing with those other guys. they're hilarious, and the game seems to move alot faster with them. since it got dark so quickly, i went home and crashed.

4hrs later, i woek up just in time to help out with some precal. that was weird cuz i got up, looked at the monitor, and blam..a msg popped up. and right after helping out, i got a phone call to go to BJ's. that has got to be sam's favorite place. prices can get abit high, but the food is good. after stanley shows alittle silliness, we decide to head to sam's for some hold 'em. it was fun cuz every person has at least one funny quote to say during the game. one of the kraziest hands was when stanley and i both pulled out a pair of pocket aces. what are the chances?!? anywayz, it eventually came down to just me and sam, so we split the pot. and here i am at 630am after showering making this post ><

somehow i gotta get up and tutor at 11am and 1pm. and who knows what lies ahead for the rest of the day. watch me pass out for the remainder of the day.

thursday. december 15 2oo5
i ended up completing another website prototype for my uncle's client today. hopefully he likes it, and we can get teh ball rollin. i also need to redo the entire Active Athlete site. there's gotta be a more efficient way for me to update that thing. and at this point, i've lost most of yall huh?

alright on to more relevant matters...
thanx for showing interest in the photo contest. yea i figured the lack of submissions was due to school... which is a good thing... cuz you have your priorities straight.

oh yea on chooseday, i got awarded a bronze star on a well-established website that holds its members' wallpaper submissions to a high standard. there are some very talented artists on that site (*ahem* jeisun and sniki), and to be top rated for that day was nice. (actually i should say thanx for being #11. that's what put me up there.) i hope to get started on some new ideas for bleach, gto, tb, and magna.

Hair Like Snow...that's what it's called! thanx ey. although, i can't say i completely understand the lyrics. while on the subject, check out the pic on the left. how come he's got a UT jersey on? speaking of UT, check out the pic on the right. apparently, alex has released the catalog of his new fashion line. he has another pic posted on his xanga. ask him to release more pics, and tell him i sent ya. and since i'm already talking about jpg's, check out this link. i predict this is how peter is going to meet his wife.

...the randomosityishness continues. oh yea, i'm still interested in knowing whether or not i should chunk the photo submission contest.

sunday. december 11 2oo5
hmm...should i end the photo submission contests? i dunno if the reason is time or lack of interest, but lemme know if you want me to keep it or scrap it. and yes kai, i haven't forgotten about showing the book. actually, i got another small gift today too, so that makes 4 pics i must post. oh yea, somehow i ate two dinners tonight. i think doing math makes me hungry. i enjoy the challenge and end up rewarding myself with food >< also, i found it strange how i can enjoy chinese music without understanding a single word i'm listening to. #3 on the new jc sounds good to me. someone please tell me what it all means. and to end on the continued note of randomosityishness... here's an "elephant" print jacket XD

hope your week turns out better than mine...

today was a day of music.

music is amazing in that it can communicate and stir emotion. i like how audio can paint a visual image in my mind when i close my eyes. i wish i got a program, so i could write the names of the two pieces they played. now i'm curious as to what the "suicide" part sounds like.

here are some region kids. good job guys! i enjoyed every second of it. thanx.

oh yea, can't forget this kid either.

i also wish i came at 400 to catch this kid. incase you can't tell, it's amanda.

just when i thought my musical experience had ended for the day, jason calls me up from the concert, and i got to hear the entire BSB set. two observations: 1) their harmonizing was so good. 2) it was a miracle that i could hear anything over all the SCREAMING. man jason, you better not have been one of them.

here's the set they sang tonight:
Just Want You To Know
Crawling Back To You
I Want It That Way
We Wish You A Merry Christmas
As Long As You Love Me
Weird World
Incomplete
Everybody (Backstreet's Back)

wednesday. december o7 2oo5
at the moment, i only have TWO photo submissions for NOTES =\
so if you have any ideas, please send em in as soon as you can.

tonight i went to an nba all-star volunteer meeting. it was interesting to see what type of ppL want to be involved with this. i also overheard ppL talking about how they're hoping to meet nba players and stuff....which i doubt will happen. we'll be the ones taking care of those booths and welcoming ppL into the building. at least they like giving out free stuff to volunteers. so far, i've received one pack of basketball cards =P there will also be an nba all-star 2006 t-shirt. wow, the nba entertainment group is a pretty smart bunch. they make money off of ticket, product sales, and concessions. and to cut costs, they get volunteers. hahahah....dangit ><

oh yea, i ahve three other bday gifts to post about. two of them need frames, and one of them is hidden away from the public eye. i'll post pics later.

btw, is anyone interested in watching narnia and pride&prejudice???
