today was nice because i finally got to update another kenya page. it's a pretty huge picture dump too, so i hope you enjoy it. ever since i've been back from kenya, i like spending more time outdoors than indoors no matter how hot it is.

fortunately for us four guppy hunters, the weather was quite nice to us today. and seriously, how can you resist guppy hunting? *cough cough* tiffo. i mean playing in water is already a given that it's fun. hangin out with friends is a no-brainer. and i particularly liked the testing of patience and agility. those suckers are fast man! but we were faster...raaawr!!! it's quite rewarding to catch one. good job everyone for pulling in 60. we worked with what we had and pulled off a pretty good number. for next time, TO THE DOLLAR STORE!!!!!!!

we celebrated raymond and katherine's bday today. it was kinda kool how we decided to make our own food. i like how the girls made sushi, and the guys bbqed hot dogs and sausages.

and of course we had to do something to raymond. we chose to go with the freakishly pretty glitter clown. guys don't stare for too long. you might begin to fall for him.

happy birthday to the two of you!

the brazil vs japan match was sooooo fun to watch! ronaldo may be fatter than last year, but he still managed to score twice. and ronaldinho is just insane. his ball placement is so precise. it was exciting to watch brazil turn up the heat when they were down 0-1 in the beginning. they seem so aggressive and patient at the same time. i think having a good balance of both is key for any sport. i gotta remind myself of that when we play our first sports for charity game this year on sunday.

i watched the constant gardener today. in a way, i'm kinda glad that i waited this long to watch it because it was filmed in kibera. it was awesome to watch scenes in the film and realize that we walked over the very same railroad in the film. i would've never been able to appreciate how accurate the setting was had i not experienced and seen the city in person. there was a short part in the film where the kids would wave at a stranger and say "how are you?" for those who also visited kibera with us know how awesome it is to see and hear that. i know all of this is unrelated to the plot of the movie, but i just wanted to comment on how much i missed being in kenya. i guess it gave me the same feeling as watching an old home video.

the sports world is going nuts around this time...

yesterday, carolina busted out their krazy offense against edmonton to win the stanley cup. i don't EVER watch hockey, but my eyes were glued to that game from the moment it started.

today i caught the end of the england vs sweden match. when it was tied at 1-1, i already thought it was insane when gerrard scored with five minutes left in the game. but when larsson got it in at the final minute, my jaw just dropped. it was an exciting game to watch. and for you beckham fans out there, he got owned by edman.

and finally, i think it goes without saying that dwade is the man! miami wins the nba championship winning four games in a row =O throughout the entire game, wade looked calm and composed as if he controlled the game. besides his scoring, i was impressed with his rebounding and blocked shots. what a complete player.

kenya was a great experience. as soon as i get all the pics and stories organized, i'll have it up. getting back into the groove of things hasn't been too difficult. switching from kenya's winter to home's summer does kinda suck alittle. i think i share the same sentiment as a few of my team members in saying that i miss kenya and the friends we've made. usually at the end of mission trips, i feel rdy to go home on the last day. but not this time around. i look forward to God's direction in whatever or wherever he wants me to go. ok time to grab a bite to eat and finish compiling my kenya pics. i think i've watched more world cup matches than nba finals games =O ok that was random....kwaheri!

ok here's a link to the kenya site i've started. i still have alot of updating to do, so stay tuned...
