this weekend has been a nonstop chain of events.

yesterday it began with a funeral. afterwards, we ate lunch at a nearby buffet. our family tries to remain happy in celebrating the death of a loved one. so the adults went to play mahjong shortly after. us cousins ended up back here to chill out and watch wade and the heat tear up detroit. then we met up with more cousins to go out to a bar and a club. i don't remember the name of the bar, but the club's name was called hue. they played pretty good music. we all had a good time and slept pretty well that night at my cousin's house.

today we woek up and headed straight for ihop. we were starving like krazy. i think a few of us got the chicken fried steak and eggs. i don't see how anyone can finish that thing. it was designed for big ppL. since we all got food coma, we passed out for a couple hrs. then i suddenly remembered that i had to be at the kenya meeting, so i got home, showered, and headed straight for church. after finalizing all the logistics, i kinda just hung around until the senior banquet started. at the senior banquet for me personally, i had a great time because i was blessed with teh opportunity to sit with three beautiful people. it's a rare occasion, so i tried to enjoy every moment i got. oh yea, i busted out some of my old riddles and confuzzled alot of ppL. also, it was nice watching the slide show with all the baby pictures. it's kinda kool seeing how their baby facial expressions match so well with their current expressions. witnessing the growth of others is such a kool thing for me. oh also, the last second video for the seniors was hilarious. i'd like to give the actor award to kai for being such a smooth guy. the baseball scene for rick was awesome. and just when you thought the night was over, a bunch of us head out to clear lake to ball at efc. man i suck. anywayz, after ball we got the munchies, so we first headed to chinatown to find a nice bowl of noodles (but it was closed =\). so we tried jack in the box next, and once again it was closed. finally we spotted a whataburger packed with cars around the drive thru. so we watched late night fresh prince of bel-air while scarfing down burgers and fries. now i'm insanely tired. crash.

-------------^ added ^----------------

it's weird having your emotions change so suddenly. that's how i feel today. here's why...

this past saturday i went up to dallas with family to celebrate my cousin's graduation in receiving his juris doctorate. i had a really good time for two main reasons...family and food =]

after arriving, we headed straight to a japanese buffet called tokyo one for lunch. this place had quite the variety. aside from sushi and sashimi, it had a tempura section, hibachi grill, a nice assortment of ice cream (green tea, mango, red bean, strawberry, vanilla), and my favorite part...a noodle section where you get to choose the type of noodle, soup, and stuff you wanna put in it. ramen for me of course!

after stuffing ourselves, we went to my cousin's place to spend time with ansley. she's grown up alot since the last time i saw her. she likes to say stuff with only one syllable. and she knows her animal sounds. for instance, her favorite animal is a sheep. so if you ask her what the sheep says, she goes, "ba". she also likes to dance =O there's a toy bunny that plays music. every time you turn it on, the girl starts shakin. we're gonna have to keep an eye on her when she starts hittin those clubs.

i woke up after recovering from food coma and playing with ansley to take a nice walk to my cousin's graduation which was only four blocks away. it was kinda nice how they let former alumni "hood" the graduates during the ceremony.

graduation ended just in time for my stomach to consume more good food. we ate dinner at an italian restaurant called buca di beppo. it's kool because they serve it family style in ginormous portions. i don't see how anyone can come outta that place not full. also, my cousin had to reserve this special room about five months in advance =O it had a nice big table with a lazy susan in the middle (just like yum cha), and it was called the pope room. the walls were covered with pictures of the different popes that served. my cousin got to sit in the nice big pope chair. anywayz, they served tiramisu in this gigantic bowl, and it was made really well. and it goes without saying that all the other food was delicious.

after an entire day of just flat out eating like a fatman, i passed out only to wake up the next morning for another nice meal at a place called benedict's. i thought that breakfast can be made only so many ways. but apparently i have never tried this eggs benedict. i ordered one with crabmeat on it. they basically have one half of a toasted english muffin topped with whatever meat (crab in my case) which is also topped with the actual eggs benedict. i gotta remember to try that next time i hit up ihop or denny's (hahaha...beck calls it danny's). ok that was random. oh yea, i also ordered a short stack of pancakes with strawberries on top. i can't resist pancakes at a breakfast place. this so-called short stack ended up being so big that i had to put it on a chair cuz there was no room left on the table ><

ok so maybe you're wondering why i mentioned the weird emotion change at the beginning of this post. after all this fun with family this past weekend, i get a call this morning about my grandfather passing away. it's like one thought ran over the other thought. i can't say that it tears me apart, but the helplessness does run through my mind repeatedly. it causes me to think about the family members in immense pain. it also makes me think about heaven and hell.

since i've been listening to the second HandMC album, i noticed that there's a song on there called Tsumi which is the outro theme for a movie called Spirit. so i was interested in knowing what the movie was about. i still dunno if this is the correct movie, but i found something interesting. it turns out that warner bros produced a jet li movie with different titles for different countries. oh yea, jay chou has a music video for this movie too. hmm...so maybe HandMC's song isn't for this movie. *shrugs* i dunno...

ok i'll admit it...i haven't posted because i enjoyed seeing maki's picture every time i opened my site =P yea i'm a sucker for a great voice and cute smile. anywayz, i decided to keep the picture up over there on the right side...muhahaha.

i hate the idea of things hanging over my head. since i've been so busy lately, i haven't gotten around to taking care of those things. and when it all builds up, it really starts to weigh down on me. i feel the pressure, and it begins to affect my behavior.

i've been working really hard to complete one of these things, but i seem to have hit a road block. it's one of those things where you feel intellectually incapable of doing it. and i don't wanna give up on it cuz that's just weak, and other ppL are depending on me. but it's definitely making me mentally fatigue. so if i look alittle sluggish or act abit rude, you'll know why. as corny as it sounds, HandMC actually keeps me going. since the music is always loud, it keeps me up.

and as much as music keeps me up, so do nice pictures =]
